Whether it be on matters involving major financial or institutional clients, or individuals on high-stakes/high pressure litigation, Paul offers his clients effective and workable solutions that also focuses on outcomes that you need and want.  Paul uses his broad, multi-disciplinary experience (including finance and accounting) to advise businesses, entrepreneurs, professionals and individuals on complex commercial and strategic matters.  Leveraging his extensive experience across a range of practice areas, he brings a highly practical, commercially focused approach to every mandate.  He takes the time to understand clients’ objectives, risk tolerance and business realities, providing clear, candid advice that cuts through complexity and focuses on what really matters most.  His approach is grounded in sound judgment, strategic thinking and a strong appreciation of the practical implications of legal decisions.

Mr. D'Angelo obtained his law degree from the University of Ottawa in 1995.  He has received recognitions for his legal work.  His involvement as counsel and volunteer for not-for-profit organizations, occasional lecturer for the Law Society of Upper Canada's Continuing Education program, and public speaker on various legal topics - are all contributions  he completes with pride.  

Darren Lacey is an Associate Lawyer at D’Angelo Legal Group, where he provides thoughtful, practical legal counsel to individuals and businesses across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.

Darren brings a unique combination of legal and business experience, having worked across the legal, corporate, startup, and government sectors.  This diverse background allows him to understand the legal and commercial realities his clients face and provide strategic, solutions-oriented advice tailored to their objectives. 

Darren earned his Juris Doctor from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law after completing a Bachelor of Commerce. During his academic career, he was recognized on the Ted Rogers School of Management Dean’s List for his outstanding academic achievement. 

With more than 15 years of experience in business development, strategic negotiations, and client advocacy, Jenny has built a reputation for delivering thoughtful solutions, fostering long-term relationships, and helping organizations navigate complex business decisions with confidence.

Jenny holds a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Law and Psychology and is fluent in English, French, and Cantonese.  Her unique blend of education, strategic thinking, and relationship-building has earned her recognition as one of Canada’s most respected professionals in the meetings and events industry.  She is the recipient of the Global MPI RISE Award – Member of the Year, MPI Ottawa Volunteer of the Year, CanSPEP Industry Partner of the Year, the PCMA Innovation Award, and inductee of the Canadian Meetings + Events Expo Hall of Fame – Volunteer of the Year. Jenny has also been recognized as an MPI Mentor of the Year nominee, an MPI Ottawa Supplier of the Year nominee, and an MPI Foundation Canada scholarship recipient.  These honours reflect her unwavering commitment to leadership, innovation, collaboration, volunteerism, and excellence in client service.

Outside of work, Jenny enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, travelling, staying active through yoga and Pilates, and giving back to her community.  She believes that strong relationships, lifelong learning, and maintaining a healthy balance are the foundation of both personal and professional success.
